Something is lost!

Preston finally did it! Tooth #1 is finally gone, and he is so excited! When I showed up to get him from school, he ran to me showing me how loose his tooth was, and he was sure it was going to come out tonight. On the way home he was chewing bubble gum, and then he had a frozen gogurt for a snack. When he was done snacking, he was telling me about something and I realized the tooth was gone! No, really, it's gone gone! It wasn't in the gum, so my only guess is that he swallowed it! I guess he wasn't quite ready to give up that first tooth. Right now he is busy writing a letter to the tooth fairy to explain what happened. I don't know if the tooth fairy accepts notes, but we'll let you know tomorrow!

Three Cheers for Preston!

It's time to BRAG!!! Preston Loves school, and he does really well! Today we got to go to his second trimester awards ceremony. He got two awards, one for perfect attendance, and the other for the AB honor roll. He had 4 A's and 1 B, and we are really proud of him.

This is him accepting his award! His school does a cool thing where they give each student a lanyard, and they earn pins to go on it. He is very proud of his pins, and he should be, he earned them!
He was very excited to get to take his picture with the principle and the vice principle. (Maybe later I will stop being lazy, and look up their names!)
This is his teacher Mrs. Graham. We LOVE her because she is such an amazing teacher. He is really doing well this year, and she just keeps pushing him to do even better. Preston, we love you and are proud of all your hard work!

No, this isn't staged!

I think I have mentioned a time or two how Stockton is into EVERYTHING right now! This is still true, and a good deal of his time is still spent in the corner! However, this one just made me laugh!! I think his favorite place to go, is into the master bathroom. There are TONS of things to get into in a bathroom right? Guess what he chose........

You got it folks, that is my 2 year old with an ear/nose hair trimmer. Any guesses where he learned how to use it? Your only clue is that it wasn't from me!
Now if that doesn't make you laugh, then you have no sense of humor!! Thank you Stockton for all the laughs you have brought int our lives.

Spring Break

Everyone is going to be mad at me, especially the Grandmas, but I did not take a single picture the entire week of spring break! Am I a bad mom or what? We had a great week!! Stuart was off of both school and work (duh, since his work is at a school) and we decided to take advantage of the time we had and just play and have fun. Here are some of the things we did last week:

  • Went to the Mathewson's for playing, watching the NCAA championship game, and hanging out with friends!
  • Spent hours at the park playing baseball, swinging and playing tag!
  • Went shooting with my brother Shane. Oh, and I'm still as good of a shot as I used to be, and it is pretty good! (I out shot my brother and my husband, in case you were wondering!!!)
  • Taught my 6 year old to shoot MY 22.
  • Had homemade Pizza and Ice Cream with Shane, Vicki, Denver, Evan, Alisha, and Grant.
  • Went to the Clark County Fair (If you get a chance, you need to ask Emma what it takes to be a real cowgirl. She climbed a fence in the small animals pavilion and when she got down she had cow crap on her and I've been calling her my cowgirl ever since!)
  • Stuart took the kids to the park so the mom could have a little R&R, but I wasted it and spent the time cleaning instead. When will I learn?
  • Celebrated Easter with our little family. We had a ham, funeral potatoes, and asparagus. While we ate, we talked about the real reason for Easter!!!
  • The next day we celebrated Easter again with some friends around the corner, only this time we did it Thanksgiving style with a turkey and ALL the fixings including homemade mac n cheese! Thanks Nate & Lori!!!

It was an awesome week, and we loved every second of it. But all good things must come to and end, so real life is back upon us, and it isn't as much fun as Spring Break, but we'll take it!

From Sweet Child to Demon Child

Where has my sweet baby gone? Stockton has been such a happy and joyful kid since the day he was born. He hardly ever gives me attitude, and is almost always happy. However, as of late, he is grumpy, and throwing fits, and particular about what he'll wear, and just difficult. What 2 year old boy do you know that refuses to wear the clothes you put him in? I just found one. He now has one pair of PJ's and one outfit that he won't wear! He says "don't like" and tries like crazy to get them off until he is successful. He could have been described as having a sweet disposition, but not any more. ARGH! I was hoping we would just skip this whole thing with this child. I guess that even the good babies have a bad phase right? Pray for me that we will ALL survive!

Oh, and also pray that I'll find my wedding ring. I remember the last time I put it on, but I don't remember taking it off. I can't find it anywhere and I'm starting to FREAK out!
