Well, we are home from vacation. We had an awesome time relaxing and playing and taking pictures and visiting family and friends. Unfortunately, we had to come home! We were convinced that while we were gone someone was going to break in and take all our stuff so we wouldn't have to move it, but all was well when we arrived, and yes you heard me right, we are moving AGAIN! (For those of you that are counting, it will be 10 moves in 8 years!) Long story short, our landlord thought this was a great economy in which to raise our rent, so we needed to find someplace that was more reasonable. The good news is that we found it, and we get to stay in the same ward. The bad news is that I have to change the kids school. You can't win them all right?
Anyway, with all of that on my plate you will have to forgive my lack of blogging. Hopefully things will fall into place quickly (HA HA, I'm so funny!) and I will get back to business soon. I have a lot of great pictures to post, and fun things to journal about!
See you soon!

Stockton's Surgery

Stockton had surgery at the end of June. I just got back from his post-op check up and everything is great! He was having issues with his little manhood. So, while he was under, they performed three procedures. They made his hole bigger, they fixed his circumcision, and they put a scope up through to his bladder to make sure all else was in good order (I guess while they were already in there right?)
This all came about because I tried to potty train the little bugger about 6 months ago, and every time he would pee, he would pee up and out of the toilet. Sometimes that happens right? The day he peed on Stuart's foot was the day I decided to have it checked out. We were referred to a pediatric urologist, Dr Ganesan, who was great!!! The day of his surgery was horrible. You have to take them in with an empty stomach, so it was early in the morning. We got there in plenty of time, and from the second they took us from the waiting room, he knew something was up. He kept crying and clinging to me, making it harder for me. I had to put him in a little tiger gown, which he fought every step of the way. I got to meet the anesthesiologist, talk to the dr, and then a nurse came to get him from me. They took him screaming from me. It was awful! I just wanted to make it better. So, here I am crying like a crazy woman and I had to go sit in the waiting room. About an hour and a half later they came to get me and I got to hold him as he came out of it. He was pretty doped up and threw up all over his blanket and me from the pain medication. That was a fabulous hour though. He is just too busy to let me snuggle him for more than 8 seconds at a time anymore, and he just sat there letting me hold him the entire time. I took full advantage and snuggled and apologized to him for letting them take him like that! Once we got home, got him fed, and his meds had worn off you would never have guessed that he had surgery earlier in the day. He was wanting to run around and play and jump and be his normal self. That's where the new meds came into play. They told us to keep him doped up for at least 24 hours so that he would rest (if nothing else). He had Tylenol with codeine in it. He hated the taste, so we wasted 4 doses just getting it in him, but once it kicked in, he loved how it made him feel. This is where I jokingly said "I'm raising a druggie". Every few hours he would get really excited as he would ask for his medicine. To go from hating it so much he wouldn't even swallow it, to loving it so much he was practically begging for it. I guess that's why you only get 10 doses right? Well, short story long, recovery went well, and he is perfect! We have even been potty training. It has been going good. I would say not as easy as Emma, but not as hard as Preston. Funny kid! Accidents are down to one every couple of days, so with any luck we are almost there! I hate this picture. You can see the fear in his eyes. I just hope he is too young to remember this later. He does look cute in his little hospital gown though!
