We spent the afternoon watching Despicable Me and playing the Wii as a family. Dinner was homemade pizza! And he went for a white sprinkle cake with chocolate frosting with sprinkles. He was really excited about the sprinkles and I let him do them himself, and then I gave in to my ocd and tried to spread them out a little. The final result:

Happy Birthday Stockton
1/5/11- the date my baby turned 4. It was a sad day and a tough pill to swallow. At our house birthdays are not a huge deal. I can't handle big invite all the little kids and entertain them and then send them home with goodie bags type of parties. They give me anxiety. I'm working on it. Instead the day is all about them. They get to make any and all decisions for the day, but their favorite decisions to make, are what to eat, breakfast, lunch and dinner, along with picking out their cake. This year Stockton chose doughnuts for breakfast (and his brother and sister didn't even have to beg him to choose it this year). Here we are in the van for our early morning doughnut run. So cute! He loves to make these ridiculous faces when I take pictures. Someday he'll hate it, but I can't convince him of that right now.
He wanted a happy meal for lunch, so we all headed to Overton for some McDonald's.

He was so excited to open up presents, but there were only three of them, and cards from the grandparents. He was a little confused because I think he was expecting a replay of Christmas. He loved his presents but once they were opened he kept saying "More Presents!" Um, nope, sorry buddy, not going to happen.
The biggest hit: An Aquadoodle mat. LOVE IT! Hours of art fun, no mess, and no treasured pictures to give me guilt as I throw them away later! Yay for me!
